AAT 25th Anniversary Tribute

We are in 2011. And this year, it's a birthday of a classic animated film... called "An American Tail", released in theaters on November 21, 1986.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present my ULTIMATE drawing, project name "LibertyTale", for celebrating the 25th anniversary of this marvelous movie. Not only for the original movie, but also for the whole franchise which we can thank to providing us the excellent sequel "An American Tail: Fievel Goes West".

This project began in mid-June as a collaboration with another deviant, but this partnership ended two weeks after the beginning of the project. My partner left the project and I was the only one to continue.
After over 6 months of working ( 3 1/2 months for drawing every character, 1/2 month of shadings and 2 month of background ), over 2000 layers created, over 10 Photoshop files created and 175 hours of Counter-Strike: Source, I introduce the MOST AMBITIOUS DRAWING I'VE EVER DONE in my entire life.

I decided to insert Cholena, from "An American Tail: The Treasure of Manhattan Island" in my drawing because she's cute with a great wisdom. I think she deserve to be an important character in AAT franchise, and I think Cholena and Fievel make a great pairing. Remember I'm celebrating not only the original movie, but also the whole franchise.

Thank you so much Don Bluth for bringing us this wonderful movie! Without you, the franchise would never have existed. We're celebrating a happy birthday to Fievel and his friends. I wish for their adventures to continue in the future and I wish for the next generation to discover this unforgettable movie. 25 years and always young.
